The P.O.W.E.R. HOUSE of Houston Inc. Moms On a Mission 4 Success is a small group of parents established to provide peer support to other mothers of at-risk children with mental health issues.  Our goal is to give a face and voice to Mental Health on the North side of Houston, Harris County, and other surrounding Counties.  We hope to assist the community with eliminating the negative stigmas associated with and attached to Mental Health Illness.

 

It is the desires of the Power House of Houston: to enlighten and empower our families and communities, with support and facts about mental health illnesses.  We would like to extend out an invitation to you.  Come and join us as we rally around the removal of stigmatization and bring a message of honor and worth to mental illness.

 

Parents are referred by their case managers and meet on a monthly basis.  They assist each other by sharing their experiences on how to access various needed resources, and how to navigate successfully through legal red tapes and other unforeseen obstacles.
